Insadong — Expansion

인사동에서의 일지는

이전의 시간을 바탕으로 보다 확장된 형태로 이어집니다.

차와 향을 중심으로 한 경험은

전시와 공간, 그리고 작가와의 관계로 확장되었고,

하나의 감각에서 시작된 흐름은

이제 다양한 매개를 통해 다시 구성됩니다.

갤러리 일지는

작품을 단순히 보여주는 공간이 아니라,

시간과 감각이 머무는 구조를 제안합니다.

In Insadong, Ilji continues in an expanded form.

What began with tea and incense

has grown into exhibitions, space,

and relationships with artists.

A single sensory approach now unfolds

through multiple forms and mediums.

Gallery Ilji is not merely a place to display works,

but a structure where time and perception can settle.

Anguk — Beginning

일지는 안국동에서 시작되었습니다.

작은 공간에서 차와 향을 통해 감각을 깨우는 실험을 이어갔고,

익숙하지 않던 향의 시간을 일상의 경험으로 옮기려 했습니다.

그곳에서 일지는 ‘무엇을 보여줄 것인가’보다

‘어떻게 머무르게 할 것인가’를 먼저 고민했습니다.

안국동은 일지가 감각과 태도를 만들어간 출발점입니다.

Ilji began in Anguk.

In a small space, it explored ways of awakening

the senses through tea and incense,

bringing unfamiliar rituals into everyday experience.

From the beginning, Ilji was less concerned with

what to show, and more with how one stays.

Anguk remains the point

where its sensibility and attitude were first shaped.
